Performances with Arcis Saxophone Quartet

In a captivating blend of music and visual art, the Arcis Saxophone Quartet joined forces with performance artist and illustrator Charlie Casanova for a series of performances that transformed the stage into a living canvas. At each concert, a blank 2 x 8 metre backdrop served as the starting point, with Casanova live-illustrating an entirely new composition inspired by the quartet’s music. The ambitious challenge of completing the artwork within the span of the musical programme added a dynamic intensity to the experience. A standout event was the ART 'N' AIR NIGHT, part of the renowned Bergson Artists Festival at Munich’s Bergson Kunstkraftwerk, a celebration of the city’s

creatives. The collaboration culminated in an unexpected finale, as Casanova’s vocals joined the quartet in a vibrant rendition of "It Don’t Mean a Thing".
